Purpose вЂ“ Enterprise reference planning (ERP) systems will be software packages that allow companies to have even more real time presence and control of their functions. This conventional paper aims to research and analyze common instances that occur within the majority of ERP assignments, and determines the areas that are key to success compared to those that bring about failure.
Design/methodology/approach вЂ“ The analysis is based on a content evaluation of printed articles revealing SAP implementations in forty-four companies.
Conclusions вЂ“ Identiп¬Ѓes six common factors which have been indicative of successful or perhaps non-successful SYSTEMS APPLICATIONS AND PRODUCTS implementations. It has been found which the lack of appropriate culture and organizational (internal) readiness as the most important factor leading to failure of SAP implementations in 15 companies. Arsenic intoxication project management approaches and appropriate tradition and company (internal) openness are the most important factors leading to the success of SAP implementations in 29 businesses.
